Thursday, July 13 // Intuitive Landscape Painting Workshop

Taught by professional painter and art instructor, Emily Knight. Explore intuitive design choices and basic landscape painting principles to guide the creation of your own original landscape painting; representative of your own perspective and personal style.  Some light food and refreshments provided. Sunday, July 23 // Mixed Media Landscape Painting Workshop

Our busy lives can cause us to take our hearts for granted and dismiss our soul’s need for space and time to be nurtured and fed. Since we are created by a creative God whose natural inclination is to create and make, we hold this capacity as well.  We were designed to use our bodies and minds to create. This act of creating, specifically of creating beauty, feeds our souls. During this workshop students will have 4 hours to spend working with their hands to create using paper collage, paint, and colored pencil. Using artist, Amelia Furman’s, mixed media techniques in the creation of her multi-layered landscape paintings, students will utilize provided materials to create personal landscapes that provide space for their souls to thrive. Amelia will guide students through the material collection, composition design, and adhering of materials to the surface, followed by intentional embellishment to create a finished mixed media work that will remind students to make space for their hearts. Friday, August 18 // Landscape Show Closing (An evening with the artists)

Join us for an "open house" style event as we celebrate the closing of our latest show with the artists. Live music, light food and drink will be provided. This event is all ages. The evening will conclude with a Q&A panel with the artists from the show. All artwork will be available for purchase along with limited prints. Registration helps us prepare for food and drink.
